We also let him be “Grandpa” to our weanlings.  He is kind to them, plays with them and teaches then their manners.

Aaron was one of our first rescues.  He had been sold at auction to someone who wanted to breed him to mini donkeys. Those girls wanted nothing to do with him and kept beating him up. After about a year of this, the owner gave up on the idea and we heard about this and bought the horse. His barn name was “Shiney” but we named him “Aaron Fur” (he has lots of hair).  It took a long time and much work to get him to trust people and other animals again. He needed extensive dental work with TMJ adjustments. He is now physically and mentally fit. He will be with us until his last breath. We love him.
